Hackintosh reports that hackers have gained shell access to the iPhone. For you non-techie readers, this means that we may soon see some true "home brew": applications that run on an iPhone, that are not authorized by Apple (anything locked down from third-party development is a target for hackers–like DVD copy protection, and the Sony Playstation Portable. See for example the thriving PSP hackers community).
