Update: Apparently AT&T lawyers have put a stop to their plan. *sniff* *sniff* I smell bullshit. Rest assure, a software unlock is just around the corner. Whether or not it’s these guys, someone is going to make it happen.
…John McLaughlin, founder of Uniquephones, said his Belfast, U.K., company will be posting software on Saturday that iPhone users can download to unlock their handsets to work with any SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card on any network they choose. The software should hit the Web at www.iphoneunlocking.com between noon and 2 p.m. Eastern Time, he said.
The software is tagged with the price of somewhere between $25 to $50 (USD). I guess that is yet to be decided… Although, users who have already signed up with iphoneunlocking.com will receive a 25 or 50 percent discount. Not bad — cheaper than a Turbo SIM.
Can you feel the excitement?! Keep your eyes peeled and your pants on. See you tomorrow!

There is something now on there Blog saying that “We are awaiting the ability to offer you iPhone unlocking services. However due to circumstances beyond our control, only AT&T can answer your questions at the moment.”
What does this mean? Has ATT “contacted” them!
Yeah Greg, totally agree with you *BULLSHIT* from this guys, another drop in the ocean of bullshit artists. Hope you guys can come up with it as you guys distribute for “FREE”which is a great course to fight against money hungry morons.
The only thing holding me back from buying the iphone is that I hate ATT. Maybe soon…………..
