iSaber — Turn your iPhone into a Light Saber!

Posted by greg

Become a true Jedi Master with your iPhone and the newly released iSaber. Available via Nullriver’s Installer is a fun homebrew app from the same developer who brought us MacSaber and WiiSaber. Carelessly swing your iPhone around while performing back flips and all sorts of Jedi-like maneuvers — woarown… kshhhhzzzt… woanrownrooo… kshhhaowow…

I’d host the iPhone compiled iSaber.app for download, but really it requires more work. Currently it’s a bit wonky and doesn’t respond to fast movement all too well. Nevertheless, an improved version shouldn’t be far off. Curious to try it anyway? Install AppTapp first, then grab it.

Hey, I had originally been working on this! I’m sorry, but this just seems like a blatant copy of the program I was working on. My program was named iSaber and was posted on the hackint0sh.org forums few days back, a day or two prior to the iSaber you now see on Installer.

My original post: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=126

The original download for my very early beta program is on page 2, or a direct link can be found here: http://www.savefile.com/files/1043852

I just opened a googlecode page today which is located here: http://code.google.com/p/isaber/

I hadn’t been advertising it much just due to its early stage of development, but as you can clearly see my version predates the iSaber that you see for download from your phone in Installer or on iSnoop.

awesome. I’m looking forward to your version; hopefully it responds better than the current. I’ll be refreshing your google code page for a release. :)

I just tried your “very early beta” — it seems to work much like this one. Don’t hesitate to let us know about updates. Thanks.

Yeah, were both using the same frameworks and ideas from what I can tell. I’ve been working on an awfully boring essay and far too much spanish homework tonight so I haven’t had time to apply my new ideas to the code. I’ll have the next 4 days off from school, though, so expect a slough of updates. :D
