Engadget has posted a gallery of photos showcasing the soon to be released iPhone system software v1.1.1.
By the look of things it includes a number of new features:
- Home button preferences
- International preferences
- WiFi iTunes Store
- EDGE roaming — on or off
- New iPod settings — T.V out, controls, search
- …and probably more…
It would also appear the phone used in the photos (see source) remains unlocked on a different carrier. I still wouldn’t recommend an immediate upgrade, be patient. Soon, without a doubt, we’ll know for certain what version 1.1.1 entails.

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t O2 the carrier for iPhone’s in the UK?

In that case, it is not keeping an unlocked carrier - it’s just got the standard one ;)

oh I didnt realize it was out in the UK already. I thought they just announced who the carrier was/is.
looking at the pictures from engaget, there will be some other features too. like it looks like apple got there own wifi going with ‘apple net’. also u can change language.
I should of emailed you greg about the iphone releasing in the UK. :) lol
someone needs to write a hack to delete multiple emails
yeah, i just created a new email account strictly just for people, i dont register any sites with it..
