Hi I accidentally upgraded firmware to 1.1.1 and damaged the IMEI (0049..) and tried to get back to 1.0.2 through restore. I am able to go to Activitate iphone through AppTapp installer and it says send file failed after that. Moreover my iphone gives a error message Incorrect SIM though it is the same SIM that came with the phone. Any help
Thanks

My friend is in NY at the moment and i'm asking him to buy me an iphone and get it unlocked as the people here in singapore are selling it at ridiculous prices (US$1000). The problem is, my friend's not a native New Yorker and doesnt know where to get the iphone unlocked. Can anyone help me out here and point me in the right direction. please?

people who bought an unlocked (v.1.0.2) iphone with no "original" AT&T card and bricked it through updating (to 1.1.1): downgrading (jailbreaking)does not seem to work. Following the instructions at http://iphone.fiveforty.net/wiki/index.php?title=Jailbreak_1.1.1:
" iTunes should now reactivate your iPhone like a nice friend if you have a valid iTunes-activated AT&T SIM. If not, you'll have to get creative and figure out how to do it yourself."
