Are you just itchin’ to restore your iPhone’s state of innocence? xadnanx, over at hackint0sh, has compiled a word document which details each and every step used to regain your iPhone’s virginity — screenshots included.
It’s not an official iPhone Dev Team release, but it’s certainly something. Give the guide a thorough read; should you find your confidence level exceedingly high, why not give it a try. Otherwise, those less technical should wait for an application which consolidates 30 pages into a 1-step process.
Once your phone is a born again virgin, you may update to 1.1.1 and unlock!

Hi Derrius. I currently have a working, unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone that I would like to upgrade to 1.1.1 . However it needs to be re-virginized first. I had a go at starting to use this tutorial but ‘chicken’d out’. :D I’ve got quite to like making calls on a different network. Anyway, I was just wondering if you had ANY problems when re-virginizing your iPhone and whether this method is suitable for my current situation. Otherwise I’ll go and use IPSF’s program. As for YouTube, I’ve never managed to get it to work at all – but thats a side issuse for me atm…
