One of my personal favourites… It’s on my PSP, and as soon as I finish writing this, my iPhone.
Thanks to Vinterstum — the one responsible for this particular ScummVM port — we can now enjoy countless classic point-and-click adventure games on the iPhone or iPod Touch. Namely Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Zak McKracken, Monkey Island, Broken Sword 1 & 2, and so many more… That’s just the tip of the iceberg. You need the original disks to run the desired game(s). These are not provided. Vinterstum mentions, “a number of games are still on sale, and for games not in the list go to eBay, into your attic or sometimes they’re still in local bargain bins.”
To ensure you’re always up-to-date with the latest version, follow these installation instructions:

Comments (3)“You sunk my battleship!” That’s what Snakesm13 is saying right about now. Good game dude — if you’re reading this…

Hop on your iPhone, or iTouch for that matter, fire up Mobile Safari and browse over to http://www.teamtpfl.com/iPhone.
Indulge in a classic game of Battleship against other players from around the globe. Place your ships wherever desired; shortly thereafter you’ll be connected to someone else waiting to play.
Props to Earle, Colin, and flygangsta. Nice work.
Enjoy!
P.S. Snakesm13, you best change your coordinates next time. ;)
Comments (1)Bored sitting in solitaire with your iPhone and the Kleenex box is damn near empty? Are you within range of a Wi-Fi spot or willing to utilize some EDGE bandwidth? Hop on Installer and download iSolitaire. It’ll provide for some entertainment no doubt.

Comments (3)The Windows iPhone app that does it all — jailbreak, install Installer.app (for 3rd party apps/games) & custom ringtones, SIM unlock, and “all kinds of other wonderful things” — has been bumped to version 2.0. Being a Mac user I cannot confirm its usability, as of the currrent moment; however, it may run fine under Parallels. I’ll provide an update on that momentarily.
Everything of utmost importance can be found on the Google Code project page. Visit the source link before doing anything, I cannot stress that enough.
Most importantly, iDemocracy now supports iPhone system software 1.1.2! Details on that are bolded below.
iDemocracy is the very first iPhone 1.1.1 jailbreak and third-party app installation solution for the Windows platform, written by Drakenza which is (at least partially) automated, and has a GUI interface. It is currently supported on Windows XP/Vista and requires only iTunes, an iPhone, and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0.
iDemocracy 2 brings all kinds of new features like free ringtones on firmwares 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, as well as File Browsing (using Manzana) and all kinds of other wonderful things.
iDemocracy NOW SUPPORTS FW 1.1.2. However, it cannot unlock OTB 1.1.2 iPhones running bootloader 4.06 (yet). There will be a release 2.1 shortly after the release on the 16th which will add this functionality as soon as possible.

Comments (9)Courtesy of Conceited Software is iRadio — an experimental Internet radio tuner with 3D sound features. Currently iRadio only supports MPEG streams. Download, install, and launch. A serious number of streams from various genres will be loaded.
Also a new version of gpSPhone is out — v0.0.7. It’s the Gameboy Advance emulator from developer ZodTTD. Read more about gpSPhone here.
Again, I recommend using Installer.app to ensure you always have the latest versions of each. The exception is anySIM — iPhone Dev Team’s free SIM unlocking solution. It’s not available via Installer, at least not from any reputable sources. Not that I’m aware of anyway. So grab anySIM from us.
Enjoy!

Transform the wondrous iPhone (or iPod Touch) into a Gameboy Advance! Introducing gpSPhone — a GBA emulator based on Expohase’s gpSP port.
Developer ZodTTD first ported gpSP to GP2X and has now added iPhone/iTouch compatibility. Utilizing the dynarec engine, full speed performance of the GBA can be achieved on both Apple devices.
You will need to obtain a copy of the GBA BIOS (gba_bios.bin) and place that under /Applications/gpSPhone.app/. Due to legality reasons we won’t be supplying that.
Things that still need work:
gpSPhone is available via Installer.app; I recommend going that installation route. You may also download and install the emulator manually. We’re currently hosting v0.0.4. The manual method isn’t advised as many updates are likely ahead.
Enjoy!

Comments (19)Here we have it — the missing piece of the iPhone 1.1.2 puzzle. The iPhone/iTouch Dev Team have shared their jailbreaking GUI for both Windows and Mac. I highly encourage you read “README.txt” before proceeding. Thanks to the many talented iPhone hackers and their devotion we can now downgrade, jailbreak, and unlock 1.1.2.
This software grabs the necessary data off your iTouch/iPhone, upgrades it with the Jailbreak method in place, and finishes with installing Installer.app & SSH.app. It’s reported the entire procedure takes ~ 10 mins. Afterwards you’ll be left with a fully jailbroken iPhone sitting on version 1.1.2.
Once you’re happily upgraded, go ahead with anySIM — the free software unlocking solution.

Comments (31)iPhone 1.1.2 is in fact jailbroken! Following the earlier day fashions of jailbreaking 1.1.1 is the familiar & tedious method used to jailbreak 1.1.2. The key: preparing the device before hand. So you may need to downgrade if you’ve already updated to the latest version. Erica over at TUAW (see source link) has put said method to the test while detailing the entire procedure.
Also noted:
…The general purpose post-upgrade tool has not been generally released. If you oktoprepped and upgraded you are fine–the tool will follow soon–but you really don’t want to do that until the tool gets released.
It’s a safe bet we’ll soon see [multiple] one-click app(s) that take care of the necessary preparation. Sit tight, be patient — 1.1.2 ain’t all that anyway.
