Here we have it — the missing piece of the iPhone 1.1.2 puzzle. The iPhone/iTouch Dev Team have shared their jailbreaking GUI for both Windows and Mac. I highly encourage you read “README.txt” before proceeding. Thanks to the many talented iPhone hackers and their devotion we can now downgrade, jailbreak, and unlock 1.1.2.
This software grabs the necessary data off your iTouch/iPhone, upgrades it with the Jailbreak method in place, and finishes with installing Installer.app & SSH.app. It’s reported the entire procedure takes ~ 10 mins. Afterwards you’ll be left with a fully jailbroken iPhone sitting on version 1.1.2.
Once you’re happily upgraded, go ahead with anySIM — the free software unlocking solution.

If you need anySIM DO NOT DO THIS. Upgrading will leave you unable to execute anySIM, unless the phone has been unlocked in iTunes.
I repeat: This is only for iPhones unlocked via iTunes!
You don’t UNLOCK iPhones through iTunes you numpty !! iTunes ACTIVATES it… * sighs *

Oh my. I was imprecise. Oh the shame, the shame of being corrected by a guy who uses French typography in English sentences.
How do I use the ./bbupdater -v command in putty to check my bootloader version ? Although I have an AT&T launch model, which should have the older bootloader, I would just like to check anyway. If anyone can tell me it would be much appreciated.

Got completely confused.My original firmware when phone was bought was(still is) 1.1.1 04.01.13_G and I jailbroke it and unlocked with anysim but would like to upgrade to 1.1.2 now.As I understand I cant use this new unlock ?
How do I upgrade to 1.1.2 then ?
You can by upgrading to 1.1.2, then downgrading to 1.0.2, jailbreaking, activating, installing and running anySIM 1.2, upgrading to 1.1.1, jailbreaking, activating, installing OktoPrep, upgrading to 1.1.2 … probably.
(Seriously, it doesn’t even work reliably! Better wait till a more straightforward method appears.)
Does it work to buy a 1.1.2 version and do smtn to make it work on 1.1.1??????????????????????????????????????????
