If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Case in point over at wickedpsyched.net (see source) with ongoing development of the first iPhone P2P torrent client. Based on Transmission — in my opinion, the dopest torrent client for Mac OS X — is a preliminary release of a command line (CLI) version for the iPhone.
Because we’re dealing with somewhat of a premature software release, and many improvements are likely ahead, we recommend visiting the source link — keep yourself up-to-date that way.

Great! Now iPhone users can look even more cool when they spend more money on bandwidth than whatever they’re downloading - but they’re downloading & it’s cool, so it doesn’t matter about the cost!
What about wifi hotspots
Someone has to come up with a more simplified download program for the Safari Browser to save pictures and download videos/files to the iphone harddrive other than p2p…
True, I guess we gotta wait for Apple to integrate it with MobileSafari or some smart dev make a better, faster mobile browser.
