Kind of the same but not quite: iJot. No recognition there but at least it's really confortable to write with. I'm using it for a couple of weeks now and it really feels natural, see video at:

I really hope they'll add OCR on top of it...

Hello,

I "jailbroke" ( still new to this and don't have a complete handle on the language yet ) my Ipod Touch 2g 8G (updated to 3.0, and then broken ) with redsn0w, and it installed cydia. I don't see an "installer" per se ( saurik's website says he intentionally didn't do it for compatibility reasons ). I'd really like to get my hands on this application as CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, I'd find it easier to use a pen interface to a typing interface. I am one of the older users of the Palm Pilot, and I enjoyed being able to "write" on it using a stylus. I don't txt much on my phone, and can't stand trying to type on a BlackBerry that I have. I just bought my touch, and though I'm a 2 handed touch typist on a full sized keyboard, the small keyboard ( touch included ) is more frustrating then anything else.

Can anyone help me here?

Thanx!

Ron V.

Tom, to use this program, you need a jailbroken iphone/ipod touch, and installer to be installed on the device. It's not a function of windows xp or mac osx. You can jailbreak the device from both platforms. A quick google search should get you instructions.

Ive actually tested this thing out, it does get annoying as hell. Another thing that throws me off is that, it states on the program that it will not be free when its fully released version is complete and that the demo will be unmanned. So unless you want to cough up a small fee for the complete version so you can WRITE on your iphone, then test out the program and uninstall. basically its function is useless in the iphone world.

I tried and it works quite well, it is a quality app.

But uninstalled it shortly after because it is not really needed and it takes over the keyboard-change button (hence entering a number requires pressing the keyboard-change more than once, which quickly becomes annoying).
