Mobile carrier for Australia, Optus, has announced iPhone 3G pricing and plans. Optus is offering both pre-paid and post-paid plans.
The Following is in Australian currency
Pre-paid iPhone Pricing:

Please take the above offers into consideration with the association of below par customer service that I have seen Optus provide on multiple occasions. I will quite happily acknowledge their inability to even maintain a landline service (over 30 days without connection) and will provide proof of double charges undue disconnection (on mobile serrvie) alongside extended’assistance calls’ coupled with ‘lost’ telephone agreements to enforce terms and conditions that have never been agreed upon.
All things considered, the iPhone is a well equiped product, but please don not taint the experience though the use of a sub-standad carrier
