iPhone Dev Team’s PwnageTool 2.0 Feature Compatibility List

The iPhone Dev Team has released information in regards to which iPhone and iPod devices will work with the certain features of the upcoming PwnageTool 2.0. Unfortunately unlocking the iPhone 3G will not be supported in the first release. This functionality will be released in a future update.

So, currently (when released) PwnageTool 2.0 will support:-

iPhone (1st Gen) with 2.0 - Activated, Unlocked & Jailbroken, (with support for third party applications).

iPod Touch with 2.0 - Activated & Jailbroken, (with support for third party applications).

iPhone (3G) with 2.0 - Activated, Jailbroken (with support for third party applications).

We’ve made some progress on the baseband unlock of the 3G device, but at this point PwnageTool will not support 3G unlocking or BootNeuter on the 3G device. It is, of course supported on the first generation device with 2.0. We’ll push out an update with 3G support if and when it is completed.

super noob question

so can i still run apple store apps and use the gps without apple fuckin me in the ass if i install 3rd party apps… is this like the wii wad installer where it doesnt screw with the system.. it only installs apps (cuz thats all i want)

yeah, its just like an add-on.
it wont mess with your system/other programs. So GPS and Apple Store Apps will still work.

and yeah, it just installs 3rd party apps.

Hey. Does anyone know if the PWNAGE tool will be released for windows as well, or just mac? I have the 1st gen iphone, and would really like to have 2.0 running with 3rd party applications. Thank you for any responses

Looks like Windows users will have to wait longer until someone ports the iPhone Dev Teams solution to a Windows application. This seems to be the usual order of things for iPhone hacks.

honestly… (im gonna do this tomotow when i get my 20gb out of my shit pc and put it into my newer one)

install leopard on it… i wont give links but google it… its supposed to b easy and you wont have to wait for these apps to b ported to windows

ill post back if it fucks my pc in the ass or works fine
