You can now “take back your iPhone 2.0″ with the new Customize App 2.1.1 for iPhone firmware 2.0 users. For those of you new the iPhone scene, Customize is the defacto standard for using and creating iPhone themes. You can install Customize via Cydia or do it the good’ol fashion way yourself by downloading it from our iPhone downloads section under ‘Homebrew’ or follow this direct link: Download Customize 2.1.1

Customize 2.1.1 iPhone 2.0 Screenshot

Notice for 1.1.4 Users
If you are on 1.1.4 then DO NOT upgrade to Customize 2.1.0 You must stay with Customize 2.0.x. The newer version will not work with 1.1.4. I will continue to support the 2.0.x versions for some time, until most users have upgraded to Firmare 2.0.
Best, Spicy

Customize is 2.0 Compatible!
Customize is now compatible with Firmware 2.0! There are still a couple of bugs (About page and Comments still not working), but all the good stuff is in there. You can download it here, or you can install it via Cydia (and Installer, soon).

I have this on my iPhone 3G. Very slow, very buggy, but it does work. Not all themes work 100% because Summerboard isnt implemented yet, but you can change a whole lot already.

How did you do that on a 3G iphone?

same very annoying server unavailable message, and from all the themes available in “theme browser” none of them works at all! not one… I guess the biggest bug till now is it just does not work at ALL… That little bug really “bugs” me so I guess we will have to wait for an upgrade or a tip on why or what to do. Still happy to see that icon on my springboard.

I does work, I have installed my wii theme and works, a few others don’t but still keep being asked to create a new account whenever I load it up. It seems to not do that if you tap the screen straight after it has finished initializing.

It won’t let me change the wallpaper.

it says there was an error copying the files?

wallpaper wont work until freeboard or summerboard is released for firmware 2.0. customize doesn’t change the wallpaper, it uses freeboard to change it

winterboard is in Cydia and it can change the wallpaper (the one behind the applications). he’s still working on getting the wallpaper to stretch behind the dock, though.

I was also unable to remove the dock image. I was stuck with the original.

I have my old iphone customized perfectly with winterboard but I just got a 3G and I don’t know how to unblock it. I heard that the Pwnage soft (that i used with my 2G) just do the jailbraking on the 3Gs. How and where can I find the way of do in it?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

From our iPhone Downloads section under ‘iPhone Firmware’ then ‘Apple System Software Updates’. All the iPhone firmwares are located there for download.
