2 Questions 1 will winpwn unlock phone so it can be used on any network Such as (Suncom Wireless) and 2 will this work if u have 1.4 that was put on by ziphone
u dont need this man if u have a 2g iphone u can fully unlock it with 2.0 already useing winpwn 2.0
There have been no sucessful 3G software unlocking tools released by the iPhone Dev Team. WinPwn uses the dev team’s tools so don’t expect any 3G unlocking.
It will of course unlock EDGE iPhones like WinPwn 2.0 already does.
So It Does Unlock The Sim card so i can be used on Suncom Network Yes Or No
2g iphone yes not 3g iphone yet

Jak, read what Alias420 wrote. There have been NO successful 3G software unlocking tools released by the iPhone Dev Team - Which means, unfortunately for you and others, you will not be able to unlock the iPhone for the Suncom or any Network Provider for the time being.
OK But I Guess i should of said i have first gen iphone will winpwn unlock sinm as well to use on suncom network sorry for the mis info
like how soon is very soon? Will this be simpler than the winpwn 2.0.0.3? It looks more user friendly with the pics and such…I hope it works better, because whenever I try winpwn 2.0.0.3, i always get “Unexpected error occured (1403)”
If I want to try unlocking with 2.5, do I need to first uninstall winpwn 2.0.0.3?
Man, I’ve been trying for so long….what am I dong wrong??? Everyone else is like “hey thanks guys, this is so sweet!” and here I am just trying it over and over and always get error 1403….

you can’t UNLOCK iphone 3g yet… this program only “jailbreaks” the iphone 3g…which is good enough….more than good…

It is possible to use winpwn 2.0.0.3 to unlock and jailbreak a 1st Generation Iphone, going from 1.1.4 to 2.0. Just download, install, run Winpwn. You also need the “iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore” ipsw. Browse the restore file with winpwn. Use the builder to make a custom firmware. Then pwn itunes with winpwn. And there you are, you can restore your 1.1.4 iphone with the newly created custom firmware. Put Your Iphone in DFU mode, Shift-click the restore on Itunes, and browse your custom made firmware.

is it possible to use winpwn 2.0.0.3 to go from a 1.1.3 to 2.0?
I have bought a 1st gen iphone and received it. it’s not activated and I have no idea what version it is?
1-Does anyone know how to find out what version it is as i can’t access the phone (emergency dial only)and can’t get a hold of the seller.
And let’s say if it was ver 1.1.4,
2- Can i (Activate, unlock, jail break + upgrade to ver 2.0) by using winpwn 2.0.0.3 RCI all at the same time/process? Meaning, can I browse ipsw for 1.1.4 restore with out building a custom 1.1.4 restore, instead uploading a custom 2.0 restore file (found online) in ituned under recovery mode (skipping the IPSW Builder part), would that upgrade to an activated unlocked and jail broken iphone 2.0?
3- under winpwn 2.0.0.3 RCI, when I press the Applications tab under IPSW Builder, I don’t see the 2 check boxes for install cydia and you tube activation fix? instead there is a large selection of files (I know how to find installer/cydia), but what about the you tube activation fix thing? As I don’t have att acct (tmobile).
Basiclly I just want to have an activated unlocked jailbroken 2.0 iphone

Well , Does the new WinPwn contain Installer 4 or a update for Cydia ?
we will just have to see what comes out first winpwn or installer 4,
im guessing winpwn might be holding out a bit until installer 4 is released.
i hope they push it out soon with or without installer, 2.0.1 is sooo much better but i just can’t part with my Cydia apps
