While Apple may have brought the PDA market into the 21st century it seems to have forgotten to bring along some of the staples for user interfaces that we have all come to expect. Copy and Paste has been around in the computer world since 1974 and has been essential ever since, yet Apple felt for some ungodly reason that it wasn’t necessary for the iPhone? After much complaining from it’s users Apple finally caved and announced they would be implementing copy and paste in future implementations of the iPhone System Software, however it is not a priority and they are in no big hurry to get it done.

In steps OpenClip.org a open-source, non-profit organization dedicated to bringing a 100% Apple iPhone SDK compliant cross App framework for implementing copy and paste functionality as an interim solution until Apple’s copy and paste is implemented. All that is required now is for App developers to implement OpenClip within their Apps!
