PwnageTool 2.0.3.1 Notes:

We’ve had some issues with iPod touch devices and the latest version of PwnageTool for the Mac, in certain conditions incorrect permissions will be used and the keychain doesn’t save passwords. So hold on and wait for the next release, we’ll push out the updated version via Sparkle as soon as it is tested (it is being tested right now).

Of course we have updated our iPhone Downloads section with the lastest versions:

Pwnage Tool 2.0.3.1 works perfectly on my iPod Touch. What I did was:

1.) DFUd my iPod to stock 2.0
2.) Created custom 2.0.2 ipsw using latest version of Pwnage Tool
3.) Followed typical pwnage instructions as normal.

Everything works fine and mail works perfectly. The password problems are gone as well. No need for future updates (unless it’s for a newer iPod/iPhone firmware.)

Great job Dev Team and cheers to everyone!

I used QuickPwn RC3 and I jailbroken my 2G iPhone but it didnt unlock it.

I have 2.0.2 f/w and I selected the unlock option in the tool.
I provided the bootloader files, and it almost seemed like it did it but when I tried to use the SIM card from my Razr (also ATT) the phone shows that I am only allowed emergency calls (but I can call any number) and it wont take me to the home screen. As soon as I remove the SIM, I can use the iPhone as an iTouch. and it’s jailbroken.

When I start iTunes with the SIM in it - it makes me activate the phone which I dont want since I dont want to sign up for a data plan. The phone had been used before with ATT by the previous owner.

What should I do? I am waiting for WinPwn 2.0.0.5 which is supposed to work with the 2.0.2 f/w version but i thought this was supposed to work too.

Was I supposed to do anything else?

Just wait winpwn 2.5 is coming out today at 2pm EST, at least that’s what it says on their site winpwn.com

That’s the plan for now. :-)
Their website has been pretty flaky the past few days.

Worst case scenario I’ll go down to f/w 2.0.1

Quickpwn RC3 worked great on my Iphone 2G. I must upgrade ITunes, Apple mobile device, and then upgraded Iphone to 2.02 with Itunes. Then unlocking worked with quickpwn. I learned do not touch computer or iphone during the process.
