With blazing fast 3G speeds and some areas being lucky enough to enjoy unlimited bandwidth with their cell phone package, a long awaited app has been iPhone 3G tethering. It has arrived! We’re not talking about NetShare which made a very brief appearance on the App store last month before it got pulled. iPhoneModem.com have released their iPhoneModem App to the masses via Cydia. This means you will require a jailbroken iPhone or iPhone 3G to use this App.
Don’t get too excited though this App isn’t completely free, it’s shareware that you can freely use with an annoying nag screen. If you wish to pay to get rid of this nag screen you need to register and receive a code based on your iPhone’s IMEI, no price has been published while writing this post.

whooo.
Good concept, but, however, i cant get it to load a page on my computer, shows connected, i’m on T-Mobile, any special settings i need to adjust? is this for AT&T only?
here’s my question…is this another SOCKS proxy solution? Because I can do that for free using iPhone tunnel suite…I want something that actually allows me to use the iphone as a full internet connection for all applications, not just a proxy.
I have no use for it. But, I’m sure someone will crqack it so it’s free eventually.
Why crack a software when a better software is for free?

50000 Victims with iPhone are surfing with open WLAN unbelievable for me but if people hear iPhone the brain is switched off. :D :D :D
Ciao Marco
I was gonna mention the german one too. It has insomnia setting to keep connection alive when phone goes to sleep and SSH too, so I think I know which I’d choose. Of course you can just SSH in with putty and the like also but I suppose this makes it easier. Plus the insomnia mode is a nice touch too.
PDANet is far better, and its free
I used pdanet, but it was free trial for a while, now i can’t log in to my hotmail neither to msn, I don’t have a mastercard or visa to pay for it, but its by far better than Iphonemodem, any suggestions?
