Will this “activate” the iphone 3g 2.0/2.1?
I have got a new 3g from ebay, it was working fine, but then I made a full reset and it asks me to insert some valid and unlocked sim to activate, iam not in US. What to do?

It will not validate the 2.1 firmware. It says it must start with the 2.0.2 firmware. Is it looking for a cracked copy of the firmware or something?

will there be any unlock for 3g soon?

it will not install cydia on my for some reason it changes my boot logo and let me play my cracked apps but no cydia

Never get passed the pineapple boot logo screen, tried twice now with no joy. QuickPWN reports success but it never boots into the OS.

are there anyone able to show me step by step using new pwn?

Scratch my earlier comment, after roughly 1/2 hour it eventually did come back up cracked. Not quite sure what the issue was but thanks for all your effort here. Much appreciated!

so does this come with Cydia?

Just to clear things up:
1. it works… and u DO get cydia and installer
2. if u get stuck at the APPLE LOADING (or pineapple) screen, it is most likely because you need to install/upgrade to .Net Framework 3.5
then it shoud def. work

I tried twice so far. Jailbreak works, unlock not! I don’t get the carrier option, and inserting a new sim card gives me the emergency call screen. Help??

am i still able to use my turbo sim if i installed this?

Question, Im using a jailbroken 2.0.2 3G, whats the best update method? I would like to not have to redownload and install all my stuff. Stability is the most important, is it safer to install official 2.1? Is this the right program or should I wait for WinPwn?

i got everything done. but i got stuck at the apple/pineapple logo. 4ever. have to restore like10 times and still doest that. anyone help?

I had no problem getting it to work with quickpwn.
But Installer doesnt work there just an empty shell of a program. Cydia is fine, but some itunes apps like Myspace and Snapture constently crash.

As far as I’m aware, if you’re evr stuck on the Pineapple screen after doing it - restore back to the legit 2.1 then run this QuickPwn again but ensure you have your iTunes v8 up and running fully with your phone detected.
Don’t quit out of it as iTunes 8 is fundamental to the jailbreaking process in the release.

can install 2.1 the pwn it and it will start but non of my apps/settings when I try restore from back up in itunes 8
my phone just freezes on the pineapple start up logo?????

Didn’t fix the YouTube failure to respond that I have been having since WinPwn 2.5 (neither did upgrading to FW 2.1, though), but this QuickPwn 2.1 worked as promised, very quick and very easy for me - first try, and found it very self-explanatory. Thanks, and great work!

Successfully upgraded to 2.1 with my iphone 3g.
now using T-mobile by inserted turbo sim.

Successfully jailbroke phone and then used Turbo Sim to unlock. Phone/SMS work, but Itunes won’t work saying it is not an At&t SIM card. Any way around this? Pls help.

I managed to unlock it (two clicks and it was done), but the wireless didn’t come up.
Anybody else has a similar problem?

I enjoyed having my phone quickpwnd and the freedom mainly to add custom backgrounds behind the slideboard though I found my iphone crashes all day long and i cant hardly run any apps including safari for more then 5 minutes. I havent added a bunch of setting hacks just the one to allow me to test games out for free before i buy them and the background modification. I recommend it i feel this is something my phone might be having issues with so i am taking it back to get it replaced within my 30 days.. unpwnd of course ..

I attempt to use new quickpwn to jailbreak my iphone. It all seemed to be working fine an went in to the DPU mode and then got a microsoft unexpected error. I may try later, but must be something in the program. Any thoughts.

i jailbroke my phone. everything was fine but installer apps dont work like mxtube and some of the apps on installer are written in spanish!!!!!

all- when I try to run quickpwn2.1 I get this error message” the application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000135). click ok to teminate application” can any one help?

i pwned my phone through all of the steps but when the phone goes to reboot its self it never comes out of reboot all i get is the apple icon on the screen untill the battery runs out please help its a first gen phone already upgraded to 2.1 followed all instrustions but nothing please e-mail at chefbc2k@gmail.com

People who are getting stuck at the Reboot Screen:
I think that the key is to leave it plugged into your CPU w/ iTunes8 running untill it boots up.
I, too, had problems getting stuck and read a comment that suggested this. It worked for me. It DID stay at the boot screen for about 10 minutes, but just be patient and it SHOULD work. Good luck!
