These are step by step instructions on how to use QuickPwn 2.1 for Microsoft Windows to jailbreak your second generation iPhone 3G 2.1
REQUIRED:
- iTunes 8 installed (make sure to reboot). - Download iTunes
Note: If you have already upgraded your iPhone to firmware 2.1 skip step 2.
Step One
Create a folder on your desktop called Pwnage.
Download the following files and place them in this Pwnage folder you just created on your desktop:
Unzip the QuickPwn21-1.zip file inside the Pwnage folder.
Step Two
Launch iTunes and connect your iPhone 3G to the computer via USB cable.
Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left side navigation bar. Now hold down shift while clicking the Restore button.
Navigate to the Pwnage folder you created on your desktop and select the 2.1 firmware ipsw file. Double click the ipsw file or select it and click the Open button to proceed.
Step Three
Once iTunes has finished upgrading your iPhone 3G to the 2.1 firmware you may launch QuickPwn 2.1 from the Pwnage folder you created on your desktop.
Step Four
Make sure you iPhone 3G is still connected to the computer via USB cable then click the blue arrow to proceed.
Step Five
Click the Browse button to locate your iPhone 3G firmware.
Step Six
Select the 2.1 firmware ipsw file from the Pwnage folder you created on your desktop then double click the ipsw file or select it then click the Open button.
Step Seven
QuickPwn will check to verify that the ipsw file is valid. After completetion of the verification, click the blue arrow button to proceed.
Step Eight
You can now select whether to Add Cydia, Add Installer, or Replace Boot Logos. Select the ones you would like to perform then click the clue arrow button. Installing Cydia and Installer is highly recommended to enjoy the full jailbreak experience.
Step Nine
QuickPwn will now ask you to confirm your iPhone 3G is still connected via USB cable before it continues. Click the blue arrow button to proceed.
Step Ten
QuickPwn will now automatically put your iPhone into recovery mode. Once its in recovery mode you will be prompted to: Hold the Home button for 5 seconds, Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds, then release the Power button and continuing holding the Home button until your iPhone is in DFU mode.
Note: Pay attention and do exactly as it says
Step Eleven
Once QuickPwn detects your iPhone 3G in DFU mode it will begin the jailbreaking process.
Step Twelve
Once jailbreaking is complete QuickPwn will inform you that it was successfull.

I need some help I’m trying to jb my 3g I get up to step six, I try opening the file that I’m supposed to browse for but when I try to open it is says file is emty the file is supposed to end with ispw but it says zip on mine I’m using winzip to open quckpwn. What am I doing wrong???

I have a iPhone 3G 16G 2.1. I’m trying to use the Quickpwn 2.1 for Windows. After it tells me to make sure my phone’s connected, I get the screen about browsing for the restore file and even though it’s selected, I never get the checkmark on the phone graphic and the arrow at the bottom right never turns blue. What am I doing wrong? Did you find a solution?

For some reason, ever since I upgraded to iTunes 8, the shift-click of restore doesn’t work any differently than the normal click. Could it be that I’m on Vista 64?
I’ve noticed that some other people have the same problem, but as of yet, I haven’t seen anyone address this with a workaround.

Just connect it to iTunes and restore it.
You can’t just restore it. You have to put it in dfu mode, then restore it.
Yes, you can “just restore it”. I did the jailbreak on my mac mini, but had a fresh install and backup of the original stuff on my windows box. I ran into a few issues myself, and didnt feel like hammering them out, but once i plugged it back into the windows box, and did a restore, it was all like new.
Seems like it worked fine for my 3g.
But as I am a newbe, what now?
Just enjoy!!1! Make sure that you make a backup of all your stuff though, just incase you have to restore.

i figured it out. what u have to do is restore your iphone back to factory setting, not backup. once restored then you jailbreak and you should see cydia and intaller. when you see these add boss pref, 5 icon doc, and spingboard. after that then restore to previous back up.

I see before Install a pop up that said “it only works for 2.0, but it says on the download its for BOTH! plus I get an error after restored the phone when I tried putting apps back onto my phone. tried the itunes thing to pull the phone out of the coma. what can I do to save this thing?

You guys just need to restore and retry….but this time after the checkmark appears in quickpwncontinue to hold down the home button, until have way of the instaling jailbreak data is done!
Addressing problem: can’t use dial key pad for out going call after jailbreak.
This is due to an installation of a program call Kate. Simply hit the “installer” app That came with when u jailbreak, find the program call Kate. Hit on it n upper right corner will shown an Uninstall button. Uninstall this program will solve the problem. Aiight peace out enjoy ur new jailbreak phone n alot credit goes out to the Dev team for constantly breaking new bounderies . Awesome work by far.

I’ve had this happen with a previous version of winpwn. The way I found around it was to treat it as a *new* device instead of an existing on in iTunes when iTunes discovered it again after the process was complete.
You need to Jailbreak your Iphone in another computer that version of Itunes is low than 8.0.

Worked great for me. One problem. My email does not open, it starts to open then it closes. I haven’t been able to send or receive any email thru email app since jailbreak. Any ideas?
Install SyncFix via Installer.app
1. Open Installer and add the iClarified source (http://installer.iClarified.com)
2. Install SyncFix (under dev 1.1.3)
this usually works - you may have to do a clean restore if not… good luck all!

I had the same issue. I started iTunes and replugged in the phone. iTunes started to sync it, I canceled and haven’t had a problem since. I’ve also powered off the phone and powered back up, no problems but it does seem to take a little more time.
iTunes 8.0 is NOT required to Upgrade and Jailbreak the iPhone 3G or Update, Jailbreak and Unlock the iPhone 2G.
You can do it all using iTunes 7.7.1.11
And QuickPwn.
Pwnagetool will not work, as it requires iTunes to perform the install.
It’s too simple.
Put your iPhone in Recovery or DFU mode
and Restore the iPhone using the correct 2.1 firmware file using iTunes 7.7.1.11 (7.7.0.43 or previous versions may also work.)
2G = iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw
3G = iPhone1,2_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw
Then Launch QuickPwn and follow the simple steps till completed.
Congrats its done!

There is NO 3G UNLOCK!
There are SIM Devices that claim they can unlock
but all they do is spoof the Carrier ID and are VERY VERY ILLEGAL in some states like the US it is considered and ACT OF TERRORISM just to use one. (Not Joking!)

iTunes 8.0 is is patched to prohibit this.
There is a work around for the iPod Touch and hopefully one for the iPhone soon.
Just use iTunes 7.7.x.xx to upload hacked 2.1 firmware files.
Unlocking your device is NOT illegal… problem is with the way it does it. Getting a unlock code from your carrier is fine but the way it tricks the phone might be the problem.
HOWEVER, there is a huge difference in this because you’re are not stealing or have any advantage other then using the phone with another carrier, just like any unlocked phone.
I highly doubt the FBI will come knocking down your door just because you’re using your iPhone on T-Mobile… it isn’t like you’re trying to steal minutes or clone anyone’s phone number…
If I paid $700 for a phone that I can say I own, I better well be able to use it anyway I like!
IMO, main reason AT&T and Apple lock the damn thing in the first place is because they want to lock you into a 2 year contract with at least $70/mo payment, for services you may or may not use all of! That is ridiculous and outright thief in my eyes. Here in China, I am able to pay $3 monthly fee for free incoming calls and $2/mo for 100MB of internet service. This is enough for me to check my emails, get directions, google stuff, and I still have MBs left over…
another note, I have 8.0 and it worked on mine. Maybe because I upgraded from 7.7?

I never said unlocking the iPhone was illegal, although it could very well be in some countries.
I was referring to the use of proxy-SIM devices such as TurboSIM which send illegal signals to the networks.
“proxy-SIMs replace the MCC / MNC with test IMSI codes, leaving the MSIN untouched. Then it restarts the SIM giving the correct IMSI afterwards. Unfortunately the iPhone asks the SIM exactly one time for the IMSI, it doesn’t care about the restart. So effectively the login into the cellular network is done in test IMSI mode. Now it is up to your provider, how it handles such requests.”

The Use of a proxy-SIM is illegal in Australia and many more
countries.
Almost all proxy-SIMs for the 3G iPhone send a fake IMSI (001/01) to the carrier network.
Modification of the GSM and UMTS data between the network is considered highly illegal in most countries.
Risks? Sure they might not hunt you down, but you might risk your real IMSI beeing blacklisted.
DevTeam recommendation: Steer clear, don’t use!

WOW, for some reason after I did the QuickGold update that I ended up having to do a restore, I have had nothing but problem in trying to redo my jailbreak (even though I’ve done it over a dozen times…) but this worked PERFECT and didn’t even loose my apps!!

I have a similar problem. I made it a point to ensure that the pineapple logo wasn’t select during quickpwn, but it still replaced my boot logo anyway!
as frustrating as it is, it’s a small price to pay for this wonderful service!!
I bought a 3G iphone in Switzerland that is locked to Orange in Switzerland and I cannot activate it as I do not live there. Will this work for activation of the iphone as well as unlocking.

For those of you who are having this same issue of quickpwn.exe not working, you 1st need to make sure you have .net framework installed. If you don’t, then you can download on microsoft website. Just do a google search for it and you’ll find it.

Hi, I just want to clearly understand 2 issuaes:
- does the jailbreaking interfere with your activation process or something (I use iPhone 3G with Movistar in Spain, have it activated and not yet jailbroken)
- if anything goes wrong can you get back and un-jailbreak the phone (so the warranty is not void)? is it enough to restore it by iTunes to do so?

Just as a tip, the first time i tried this, i did not allow iTunes to activate the phone before the jailbreak, and after the jailbreak, i had no signal (could not place or receive calls). the second time, after the reload from iTunes, i allowed it to activate, then continued with the jailbreak process, and voila, everything worked great!
so: allow iTunes to activate the iPhone BEFORE you jailbreak if you have problems with no signal after the jailbreak…

You have to change the file extension to .ipsw

I have xp sp2 itunes 8 and donwloaded quickpwn 2.1. The Iphone ipsw file i dowmloaded as .zip and changed it to .ipsw. I follow the instructions but at the tricky part i arrive holding the home button for 10 secs not 30 i release and when it gets to uploading ramdisk it freezes at a third of the status bar. I get this kind of mes: error make sure your device is connected and you have not followed the instructions correctly. . Now from the beginning do i have to: hold the HOME button for 5sec then release and rapidly hold home and power for 10sec and the home again for 30 secs even if it goes to the next phase after only 10sec.?my computer is not connected to the internet.please respond
when this error comes up, dont do anything, dont click on it, just wait. the process is still being done.
Connect your iphone to another usb port. The one at the back of comp. is better.
My Iphone is on 2.1 firmware please be very clear at the tricky part….i use it in italy…do i need to download the .ipsw? Is .zip good if i change the termination?
Hey guys, I jailbroke my iPhone last week. I am now having issues when making calls. The answer end call does not appear, only the “touch to return to call” at the top of the screen comes up. As well, I have to reboot the phone after a call because I cannot end the call. It seems to be running a bit slow too. Anyone have any advice at all? Thanks alot guys!

YAY! It worked. Had a hard time for a while with the QuickPwn app crashing. Did some research and it was .NET that needed to be installed. Hope that tidbit of info helps someone else. It took me almost an hour to figure it out. Thanks for the great tutorial.

since the jailbreak every else works fine except that the phone Icon does not launch,launches for 2 seconds then crashes so I cannot dial new numbers using keyboad or go to recent calls or voicemail. Please help….

Awesome, it works! I have Gevey 3G turbosim, at&t sim card (from my old GoPhone) and iPhone 3G brought from Canada. After installing QuickPWN it seems that almost everything works fine including iTunes synchronization.
HOWEVER, I cannot use 3G network, iPhone just does not show any UMTS cells. I opened Field Test (*3001#12345#*) and it confirmed that there is no UMTS connection available. I live in downtown Manhattan, it just could not be true.. 3G network is enabled in Network settings. Does anybody else experience the same problem? Is it due to Gevey card or this is the side effect of QuickPwn?

Worked like a fucking charm … im lying .. My first try I didn’t follow the instruction right when it was time to put the phone in DFU mode .. Instead of holding down the home bottom first I just held down the power and the home .. It went into DFU mode but it jus sat there and didn’t go thought the rest of the steps … after about 10min or so I started to worrie cause the screen was blk and nothing was happening — I unplugged the phone only to see that it wouldn’t turn back on — at that point I was starting to freak out — but I plugged it into Itunes,, it restored it .. Restored my contacts so of course I tried it again following everything to the letter and it worked perfect .. So I guess it did work like a charm — and ive got the 3G 2.1 ATT in texas using vista .. couldn’t get it to work on xp

I just jailbroke the iphone 3g, but it stays in the start up screen and sits there…..I can’t restore anything because it itunes asks me for a password which i can’t even get passed the pineapple logo!! Help me pls….

In order to install 3rd party apps from your computer, or cracked apps, use WINscp and SSH them to your iPhone via Wi-Fi. Just google: How to iPhone WINscp SSH. And look around or use this link

Just again for people who have gone throught his proces and are not recieving any signal (and therefor can’t make or recieve calls).
Simply use iTunes to restore your phone to the downloaded firmware. When it restarts you should have your signal back.
Now just go through the process again and make sure you don’t let go of that home button until QuickPwn gets through its checklist.
Now you will have a jailbroken phone and signal strength. Huzzah.
P.S. I know the above has already been spoken about on this page but it seems people are still having issues and missing previous comments that explain how to get around the problem. I just thought I’d throw another explanation in. To help the visibility of the solution. :D
I have turbosim. After jailbreak I can make calls but cannot receive calls. When I restore to the downloaded firmware it says invalid SIM. This used to work fine before I connected to itunes 8. Now I am out of luck.

It works!! I’ve got an iphone 8gb version 1.0 (2g). i use i-tune v8.0 and quickpwn 2.1 …i’ve followed all the steps and download neccessery files and tried to do it myself and it works perfectly :) (bare in mine i’m very noob with computer). now my iphone is v2.1 and can use any sim network on it. I haven’t found any fault or bug yet.

honestly thanks for the guide but this does not work.
i’ve tried to load the software on 2 vista machines and 2 xp machines and it crashes every time, at different points in the restore process (thank GOD my phone wasnt bricked in the process, the crashes happened before i started the jailbreak firmware “dump”)
seriously i’ve scoured the internet for a stable iphone 3g jailbreak and there simply isn’t one available yet, which is too bad bc there are some good apps that apple hasn’t released for one reason or another.
seriously, apple, your iphone is great and all, but no camcorder? opera or browser alternatives? lock screen notifications besides call/text/alarm/calender? LAME!

After I busted the glass lcd screen on my iPhone 3G i sent it to http://www.rapidrepair.com to get it fixed. They repaired it like new and then when i got it back i was able to jailbreak it!! I love it.

your probably running windows vista and you need to right click and run as administrator, or the file could be in use by another program

I’ve been so excited with my new Jailbroken phone that I’d not even noticed I’ve not got any of my aps or songs on there thing yet. :)
So here’s the deal. I have purchased a number of songs on my iPhone in my pre-Jailbreak days as well as some applications.
What do I need to do to start using my iPhone with iTunes again (keeping it Jailbroken of course). Whenever I plug in my iPhone I get asked if I wish to restore or setup as a new phone. What do I do? Do I run the risk of losing music/aps I have purchased?
Setup as a new iPhone and all your music and apps previously purchased will be sync back.

Everything works fine for me right up until the point with the 5 simple steps to follow.
When my iphone reboots it shows the itunes logo saying i must plug my iphone into itunes and then recover it. I done this and then tried quickpwn again and the same logo appears when it gets to the 5 steps part again.
Basically itunes seems to be intervening and making me recover with itunes EVERY TIME my phone restarts.

However I have a problem, I jailbroke my 2.0.2 last week and lost the ability to make calls (this thing with the green button losing the word “call” and then going back to the menu after 5 seconds.
So today I decided to upgrade to 2.1 then rejailbreak however in the meantime they released 2.2!!!!
Can I download the 2.1 independently and restore that via DFU rather than getting 2.2? then jailbreak or is it only possible to downgrade a firmware that way?

i jailbreak my iphone 3g successfully. it’s working fine and i could make a call after that, but after 6 hours, the phone shows no service and a lock picture shows between the word “no service” and time. i borrowed my sister AT&T simcard put in, it still show no service. other functions work fine….what should i do?…help me please
After you jailbreak your iphone you also need to purchase a turbo sim that will make your iphone think that sim from a different network is O.K.
usin quickpwn will only let u acess your iphone but minus the calling part. U need a TURBO SIM!

I never said unlocking the iPhone was illegal, although it could very well be in some countries.
I was referring to the use of proxy-SIM devices such as TurboSIM which send illegal signals to the networks.
“proxy-SIMs replace the MCC / MNC with test IMSI codes, leaving the MSIN untouched. Then it restarts the SIM giving the correct IMSI afterwards. Unfortunately the iPhone asks the SIM exactly one time for the IMSI, it doesn’t care about the restart. So effectively the login into the cellular network is done in test IMSI mode. Now it is up to your provider, how it handles such requests.”
“If your provider accepts the test IMSI code and does authentication with your MSIN (this implies, (real) roaming is not possible, as only _your_ provider can process MSIN correctly)”
The Use of a proxy-SIM is illegal in Australia and many more
countries.
Almost all proxy-SIMs for the 3G iPhone send a fake IMSI (001/01) to the carrier network.
Modification of the GSM and UMTS data between the network is considered highly illegal in most countries.
Risks? Sure they might not hunt you down, but you might risk your real IMSI beeing blacklisted.
DevTeam recommendation: Steer clear, don’t use!

Just cause it works here and now, doesn’t mean it will work when and where you go.
If after the jailbreak you can’t make dial calls because the phone dialer freezes and goes back to the main menu, try this:
1- Uninstall Kate from Installer: this is what everyone recommends, seems to work for a lot of people but didn’t work for me.
2- Then go to Installer again and uninstall these apps:
A) Mobile enhancer
B) RIP DEV preferences
3- Reboot your iPhone.
That’s what I did and got my dial pad back again.
Hope this helps someone, I spent like three hours searching for a solution…

No, you have only Jailbroken it, NOT unlocked it. By Jailbraking you’re iphone, it enables you to now install 3rd party applications through Installer and Cydia.
If you are in India, it will still work only with Airtel or Voda, whichever carrier you bought it from.

when quickpwn needs to browse for frimware i click broswe go to my pwnage file the iphone1,2… is there but as i click it juyst takes me into new folders. I think this may be because there is no .ipsw at the end of the folder name?

Me I jb my iphone 3g (Firmware 2.2) with quickpwn (the instructions can you find on youtube,under jailbreak iphone 3g)
can suddenly after eveything went just great it stucked on the apple logo menu when swithin on the advice…
first I totally thought im srewed but then an Angel spoke to me (lol) wispering gently in my ear…hey idiot! whey so deppresed!? just disconnect your advice by holding the HOME and the POWER Button till the screen turns black and than reconnect it via usb on you PC/MAC and if the tipical sound apears that means first of all that you arent screwed at all but just inpatient!…so anyway…LOL…when the screen (of corse it turn to stuck at the apple logo) somehow shows you that the PC/mac found your advice it means that you can opperate offline…first of all DONT USE ITUNES! the best way to fix this scary problem is to open your Iphone via WINZIP! (if you dont have it you can totally download it for free on the www) then you simply build a bridge by tranfering all your pictures on your PC!
the result is visible!
1) first of all you finally have all your picture and stuff on your own PC/mac (without using an stupid operation like “mecloud” or others)
2) by extracting Files (fotos,videos,etc) from your “stucked Iphone) it simply turns ON!
here the breefly way to explane it for Dummies heheh :
your Iphone (3g /2.0 / 2.1. / 2.2 …)

I follow all the instructions & it said that everything worked successfully. However, my iPhone was stuck at the Apple boot screen. No matter what I did, no matter how I waited (I left it alone for over an hour), or how many times I rebooted my iPhone, it was just stuck at the Apple logo.
I even followed the instructions from Benjamin (above) and that didn’t work either.

I bought an iphone 3g (version 2.1) in New York, and I got it unlocked with the GEVEY-3g sim. So i got my usual sim in it.Do I also have to jailbreak it if I want to play and download games and stuff??

hey, i tried this and it worked only it eliminated the phone part? i got no service at all and nothing would install with installer and cydia? do i try it again? i restored it back to factory settings thru itunes. help!
and also when i restored it to factory settings and what not, all my apps came back but for some reason i cannot access them. i click on them and it goes to it and then back to the home screen
man! the hack is perfectly great, it works fine but I ended up having no phone service after the jailbreak process. I lost all my contacts and stuff. The phone number was not detected on my phone.

The install and hack worked but now I can’t make or receive calls. Has anyone figured out how to get beyond this point? I see others have had the same problem.
My Itunes always says there is an unknown error when i try to upgrade to the 2.1 firmware. Any suggestions??

well.. jailbreak went perfectly…until it started running.. phone kept freezing. I have rebooted about 10-15 times daily since last week tuesday.
What I tried to do was reset all content and setting in the phone itself and what i get is the pineapple. I cannot get it to finish up loading. It stays on the black screen with the pineapple until it stops and does it again.

Every time i try to open quickqwn it always pop up this or screen and says “run this application, you first must install one of the following version of the .NET framework: v2.0.50727, contact you application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework.” ok i downloaded that version and ran the scan and it still didnt work. am stuck on step 6, the firmware comes up in my computer as a zipped folder (iPhone1,2_2.1_5F136_Restore) I extract the files and than its a regular folder, when i try and do the restore and select it , I just keep opening files and it never updates, the iphone 2.1 firmware comes up as a folder on my computer not as the box that shows the instruction pictures…. If any body know please help me… thank you

this guide worked perfectly. i ran in to the problem of having no service after my first try at the jailbreak, and started to worry. However, the 2nd time, I held down the home button as someone said, and it now works fine. Great job!

When I jailbroken my phone it was sweet the only thing is when I try to open my phone icon to call someone it goes to the screen and then exits itself out and when I use the contacts app I can call people but the menu and end call doesn’t show what should I do please help
stuck on step 7. the arrow doesnt turn blue HELP
I am having problems with step two already. They say, “Navigate to the Pwnage folder you created on your desktop and select the 2.1 firmware ipsw file. Double click the ipsw file or select it and click the Open button to proceed.” But once I “open” that file there are another two files inside of that file and so on and so forth. How do I just make it start upgrading already?
Can you still keep the App store apps, that you have and love, and Jailbreak or is your phone washed clean of these?

I am using apple iphone 3G in kuwait (wataniya) - Jailbreaked with turbo sim (accidently upgraded to 02.30.03) - Now can I use this phone in India with Air Tel or Vodaphone without Turbo Sim ? as with Turbo Sim over here I am not able to use 3G functions properly and I always have to keep Data Roaming on…I know this is technical matter but if you can advice.

hello! so i can open quickpwn.exe but when i clocl the blue arrow it says “unhandled exception has occured in your application. if you click the application will ignore and attempt to continue. if you click quit, the app closes immediately.” my phone is still plugged in and when i click continue, nothing happens…: ( any help?/

It did the same for me, you got to keep going thru the steps (and probably backed up your info first, too late now). lucky for me I just got the thing 3 days ago and had already lost my contacts via my previous phone. so I didn’t have much there!
although it somehow now wants to be updated to the latest Itunes software crap and won’t let me put on the fb or myspace app and couple otherones I already had! but don’t do the update for now, it just takes out everything you done

ok I’m jailbroke …but It is freezing up, the battary life is not lasting…and it is getting really hot, running slow…what to do?? I really like the features but it’s not worth it …can this be fixed …help!!!

Iam gonna tell you what it could be wrong..
1. If your Iphone is freezing, then DO NOT panic, just give it the time, and it will reboot.
2. be very carefull with the cable from PC to Iphone, DO NOT unplug when its rebooting, or booting the new software in.
3. TO MAC users: When its required a key in MAC you have to put your PC login PW in. (something with security)
4. Just take your take, download everything, and read the instruction 5-6 times, to have the full udnerstading for what it is you are doing.
5. Your must have V, 2.2.1 to jailbrake with this instructions.
6. Your must have a baseclass at 5.0.5 to Jailbrake with this instructions.
7. It you dont know how do it, then leave it, you can “destroy” morer than “produce”..
8. Let me finally tell you, that I have jailbraked morere than 20 IPhones now.. And really.. its not worth it..Every software you get, you have to pay for it .. And last.. YOU CAN NOT UNLOCK A IPHONE 3G WITH THIS SOFTWARE! :)

for more information, it’ll attempt to verify the ispw file for like 5 seconds then it stops doing anything, no green check mark or blue arrow to continue on. i use vista if that means anything

Followed all instructions, got stuck at step ten: waited for iPhone to go into recovery mode for over 20mins. Ended up having to take the risk of disconnecting it while it was still in progress,thankfully the phone is okay but I still wanna jailbreak! Help appreciated.
