This is rather interesting and awesome at the same time. With portable bluetooth stack for the iPhone, you can have some nice potential to do awesome things with it just like the video below.

It demos the orientation of the virtual WiiMote is controlled by a physical WiiMote over a Bluetooth connection with the BTStack project.

would be cool to do this with a ps3 controller as well then i can play hero of sparta with a ps3 controller CHA-CHING !
