Yo, guys and gals. Its really easy. Using iBricker on Windows and Uh.. Whats it called again? iFuntastic on Mac.
1) Add the sound clip you wanna use to iTunes.
2) Go to Preferences->Advanced->Importing and change the Encoder to AIFF.
3) Right click the clip in iTunes and click Convert to AIFF.
4) After its done, locate the file and change its name to correspond with the clip file on iTunes (You gon' find it in iBricker/iFuntastic, the file name I mean.) And the extension for .aif to .caf.
5) Go to the file manager in the program your using, iBricker or iFuntastic, after connecting your iPhone of course and go to System->Libraries->Sounds I think anyway, you'll know which folder once you get there. Its UISounds or something. I cant remember. (Too tired to check it out, too! ;P)
6) Replace that file with the one you made with iTunes and make sure you make a back up copy of it just in case.
7) Viola.
Your ringtone is now set permanently and not even iTunes will delete it after a Sync. Only a restore would.
I think I'll post a whole tutorial on this topic later today or something if its needed. If something like this is already here, then, well... Have fun modding!
Note: All programs are available on iPhone-Hacks.com download section.
