4G won't be available until 2012 roughly.  I had no problems getting any cellphones/contracts with no credit what so ever.  If you have the money just give it a try.  See if they accept your current credit.

Yeah, I read about it a few months ago.  They are apparently working on it right now but they don't have the proper technology to get it moving.
