Is iPhone 3G with firmware 2.0 can be unlocked.
I want to know whether iPhone 3G with firmware 2.0 can be unlocked using winpwn 2.0. I know it can be jailbroken but i want to unlock it so that i can use it with my choice of carrier.
I have read other post before posting this. Most of the mail state that iPhone 3G with firmware 2.0 can be jailbroken but not unlocked. But in your tutorial section first sticky by Alias420 state that it can be unlocked\Jailbroken by winpwn 2.0.
I am really confused.
Please tell me whether it can be unlocked or not. Or should i wait for pwnage tool 2.0.1 or 2.0.2.

GHZ is wrong...as of now it cannot b unlocked...but if yuu want to get to an unlock do not update to 2.0.1 official...update by pwnage tool 2.0.2 when it comes out
the unlock he is talking about is for non 3g iphones

I want to unlock iPhone 3G with firmware 2.0.
I do not want to update to 2.0.1 firmware.
Is it possible?

IT IS...AS OF NOW...IMPOSSIBLE TO UNLOCK YOUR iPHONE 3G...RIGHT NOW IT CANNOT...so dont update or try 2 do it urself...iphone-dev.org people r working on it as we speak...type
