Ok so I have done all the step above...but now the my you tube doesnt work do I need to anything else to make it work....and also I did like the idea where I need to activate each time when you take out a sim...are we going to get a new fix or can you other unlock method on top of what have been done already? or do u need to restore then use other method any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Hey Flipside, I appreciate all of your help to others, was wondering if you could help me. I downloaded the wInstaller, found the GUI file opened it, pressed RUN, the the "jailbreak screen came up, just like the picture, I hit JAILBREAK and nothing happened. The cursor just blinks in the box.
I'm running Vista and have a new V 1.0.2 iPhone. Hoping u can help, I'm a newbee.

Well i have to check on if its vista compatible, otheriwse you have to run the program in compatibility mode in vista, you do know how right? right click the wInstallerGUI and click properties and go to compatibility tab and select the option 'run this program in compatibility mode for' and select 'Windows 98/ME' for some odd reason it should work oh do run it as an administrator aswell!, sorry for the uber late reply, was on vication.

Hmm Since iDemocracy is out im thinking i might make a guide for that too, ive heard that you can preorder now an unlocked iphone thats legal actually that allows you to use any other sim and not just an AT&T, and yeah 1.1.2 is the latest version, make sure you get an iphone with v 1.0.2 [non downgraded] so that if ur planning to hack it, this is the most easiest and lets just say, less 'harmful' and takes you about 4 minutes to get it unlocked/jailbroken/activated and just use anysim for your sim usage !

how do you know what version the iphone is before buying?

Well mostly they will give out the information, but in some cases they dont for the sake of selling it, but on the bright side, if you bought an iphone below fw 1.1.2 you have a 100% chance of fixing it and still usable. So, you might want to look in detail for an iphone before you buy it

hey to everybody..im here because.i have aproblem whit whinstaller because..when i try to break jail it start annd all but it stop in boot iphone so i discoonecte puti again and do it some times and at thei says jailbreak sucefusl install but..when i look..to my iphone nothings happend..i try nex to jail again..and its says its jaill..for some reason i canot unbreak this ting..im soo..piss of! i dont know what to do..in the begining , i restore because i have some bug problems and when i do all erase ...and i try to jail break whit safari..whit this..whit many other i dont what to do..please help thanx..

Alright my friend, i hope you have read ahead on the topic that if your iphones firmware is 1.0.2 that this jailbreak method will only work, what i have noticed recently is that, theres a small glitch but a helpfull one, when you have a 1.1.1 firmware upgraded from a 1.0.2 [flashed baseband] you will notice that after updating the phone doesnt boot [due to the fact that the iphones 1.1.1 doesnt allow you to boot the new firmware if your baseband is flashed] but with winstaller if you try to jailbreak it, it exits recovery mode in 1.1.1 and you are able to see the phone boot up to 1.1.1 which actually is weird cause you cant acess the phone's 1.1.1 with a flashed baseband.Although there are some occasions where you MIGHT get an error later or not saying [iphone is damaged, contact service centre]

Okay, Ive changed the link, Added Itunes 7.5 So that 1.1.1 Users can connect their phones and downgrade it to a 1.0.2 of their choice.And i have also added the 1.0.2 firmware to my link along with iBrickr.So feel free to get them from there.
