The IPSW builder is built into Winpwn 2.0 itself. It's just another function of the application.
From top to bottom the buttons should be as follows:
[Browse .ipsw]
[Help]
[iPwner]
[Custom Logos]
[IPSW Builder] <--- That's what you're looking for.

You need to click on Browse .ipsw so you can locate the 2.0 firmware. From there you will be able to continue forward. If you currently don't have a copy of the firmware you can download it from the Downloads section of this site. Make sure you grab the proper .ipsw for your 3G and not the one for the 2G/Edge model.

hi hope you dont mind me jumping on this thread.
ive got the firmware, but the video i saw said i had to click on ipwner if i have never pwned my phone before (which i havent as it is a new 3g iphone). the question i have is when i click on ipwner it opens up another window looking for a .ipsw file and i dont know what to select? also i pressed help and it says This part of the tool will actually "Pwn" your device. The device can be a boxfresh iPhone or iPod Touch or a previously activate or unlocked device (as long as the device is running 1.1.3 or 1.1.4) but i have 2.0 fw as standard.
any help would be great

Well... It requires the 2.0 OFW. As in, Original Firmware.
And then it will modify it and stuff making it already unlocked and jailbreaked. And install the new CFW (Custome Firmware) on the Phone. And you can save it for later use with iTunes if you need a restore. ![]()
The Operator.

If you're using the latest Winpwn you have to select the Custom firmware you created. From there Winpwn will not pwn your phone, but it will actually pwn iTunes itself instead.
