HI

I have downloaded some apps/files from Customize and i can't get them to show up or work. I also, don't fully understand installer. When i load it , their are numbers of programs running in the tasks part and i can see them when i tap the tasks icon, but do the programs just load and run themselves? or are they supposed to appear somewhere where i activate them from? I don't see them anywhere.

Try rebooting or hard respring.
and what programs exactly?

try what Franny says.... if it still does not work you may have to restore your iphone...

as for installer yes those tasks run on there own they are sources as far as i know...

I have tried the rebooting. For example, i downloaded an Auburn theme setup. In Customize i then go to select it after it has been downloaded, it acknowledges it does the loading and then nothing.

well if i have to restore it I might as well wait for the winpwn update. The restore process does take quite a long time doesn't it? (more than an hour) or am i making the process harder then it should be?

lol your making the process soooooo long it shouldn't take that mush time... im kind of having the same problem im going to probably restore my iphone tomorrow if your going to wait i could let you know what happens... except for me its only customize that does not work well...

o and please do not double post...

I was thinking of doing it tomorrow as well. Hoping it might fix my wifi, edge problem as well. But please do let me know how it goes for you and what steps im messing up.

One other thing. When i last pwnd it, i used a seperate user account and a blank itunes, so i would have more memory for the customize images and what not, and changed the partition size. Now that part worked great, and then i switched back to my original user account and connect the phone, after i installed the custom firmware my phone was blank with none of the apps, contacts, music, texts, or anything. So then am i supposed to resync it and have itunes add all of the music, contacts etcc. fresh again (which i did last time and it still did not sync any 3rd party apps or texts,calls,) but this took about 2-3 hours, or some other options that i have heard which include wait for it to start to sync and then pull out the cable and apparently everything that was missing is back, or set it up as a new phone (not sure how exactly to do that)?

So could you write step for step how you did it, bc a) i hate how long it takes, b) i hate having to re-add all apps, c) i hate losing all old text msgs, d) i am wondering if i'm doing something wrong in the setup is and that is why i have some problems with it crashing, wifi problems (although those only started after i installed boss prefs, which i have uninstalled bc i couldn't figure it out) , and why customize is not really working.

Oh, and just for my info. I like to seperate my apps by category on my springboard pages, and keep them seperated. when i add new ones, or update them the phone just smashed them all back together. Is there a way to lock icons on certain pages of your springboard so they won't keep lumping them together or changing the order of them?

wow ok as for your B&C i don't think there is any way you can get them back I'm stuck in the same place i restored my iphone last night and then restored my old iphone back up and now customize does not work but i think i got a way for it to work.... will let u know after i've tested it

as for your springboard i don't think there is a categorize tool out for FW 2.x... in any case your app icons cannot just change their arrangement but if you keep having that problem i think you should just restore the iphone unfortunately you'll loose all your data hope it doesn't come to that...

Yeah, I think i'm making it way too complicated. Plus i see they might be releasing winpwn 2.5 this week so i might just wait.
