Sorry for double posting, I tried different comps, different usb and unplugged stuff. The whole time I have been doing it without the sim. The Iphone now is stuck in DFU
Every time I get a different error with 1.1.4 error 9 and with 2.0.2 error 1600,1601,1602,1603,1604
Update: I was able to get it to restore software but as soon as it hit firmware it said error 6

does it charge? What fw did u restore it to? Try it on another comp and cee what iTunes tell u...
If I may ask how did all this start in the 1st place?

Im unsure if its charging. I restored to 2.0.2. I tried on different comps. Upgrade to 2.0 killed it. I think its fried hardware wise.

your welcome man... i'm still trying to find out what you can do...
have you tried connecting the iphone to a mac?
error 1604 means that your itunes is corrupt keep trying to restore the iphone on different pcs & macs it should work on one...

... hi there ...
... i have the same brick problem with the iphone G2 ... after i have tried to make an update from firmware 1.1.4 to 2.0.2 with PnageTool 2.0.3.1, iTunes 7.7 reported an error 1604 (other tries had error 1600). Since that the phone hangs around with the apple logo and the rotating circle but doesn't boot up any more and also can not be turned of ... i can get into DFU restore mode as well as in normal restore mode ... i have tried to make this firmware update on 4 macs with always the same result ... i have also tried with the original apple firmware: error codes are still the same ...
... now i am really desperate ... isn't there anyone who can help with this case ...?

You got to upgrade to 2.0 first before 2.0.2 because 2.0.2 is just an update really to 2.0
Offline
... Pnage the 2.0 firmware first and get in on the phone ...?
... or simply get the original apple version on the phone and put a Pnage'ed 2.0.2 one over it ...?
Offline
Yes, use pwnagetool to create a custom firmware of 2.0 and restore with that. ![]()

... i have tried both ways but all i've got are error 1604s again ... any more ideas ...?

Hmm, I'm stuck. Satan! ![]()

im sort of stuck too... what you have to do is keep trying different comps and macs thats the only way that 160x error can be resolved... i have been stuck there my self i just kept trying and trying.....
why dont you try restore back to 1.1.4 then make a custom FW of 1.1.4 and restore it to that then restore it to 2.0 then a custom 2.0... i think something went wrong wen you tried to do it the first time sorry man just keep trying i'll research as much as i can so far all i've got is to keep trying...
good luck....![]()
