So now that they just released (MAC) of PwnageTools 2.0.3 with the support of FW 2.0.2... I have 2.0.1 CW already on my iPhone 3G with a bunch of installed Cydia app, as well as some customly installed apps (via SSH). If i do an iTunes Backup of my phone (takes 4 hrs)... will i be able to FULLY restore ALL my apps and everything like it was before?. I have a lot invested in NES Rom saved games, custom installed apps and those installed by cydia... i just want to make sure and ask you all

Nothings ever 100% but to be safe...

Use AppBackup for your apps.
SSH, look around for your saved game states.

Restoring phone numbers take a long time if you don't know how to sync them.

Definitely sync your phone numbers first. If you have Windows or Microsoft Office, just sync contacts with outlook. Not sure what Mac user's use.

ok , so just do apple backup , outlook backup, jailbreak 2.2 pwn it and then restore with itunes and outlook??? also another question where can i download 2.0.2 firmware??

Here is a much easier method (assuming you are using a PC):

Upgrade your phone to 2.0.2 via iTunes (this will keep everything *but* jailbreak programs)
Use QuickPwn to Jailbreak your 2.0.2
Done.

And you can download the latest firware's from the download section on this site.

Pwnage requires a full firmware replacement though, in which case it would wipe the phone clean. You'd still have to sync legit apps back, contacts, etc.

By upgrading normally to 2.0.2, and then QuickPwning, the only thing you'll need to restore is custom apps.

Yuppers.

When I upgraded to 2.0.1 via Pwnage, it restores to the custom firmware you create. And when you restore, it wipes your phone clean.

QuickPwn modifies your existing firmware to make it jailbroken. So if you are running *anything* besides 2.0.2, just use iTunes to update your phone to 2.0.2 ... You will lose all jailbreak apps, but everything else will stay. QuickPwn will put Cydia and Installer back on your phone, and all you have to worry about is your custom apps and themes.
