ok heres a thread that you can tell stories of your iphone. such as if you almost bricked it etc..

so i went back to my computer and tried doing what i did with the 'downgrading method'. which is connect to AppTapp and run it. and it showed the error code 'which i knew it was a good error this time' and finnally, my phone is on 1.0.2 working perfectly again.

this was about 5 minutes ago btw lol

i was at a party and i sat down and when i got back up i started dancing...then i reached for my phone and it was gone...i got super scared...but i was gunna go back and sit down to think about who coulda took it or where i could have dropped it and it was on my seat...luckily no1 noticed it or no1 picked it up...

ever get or hear about the scrolling white words of death??? lol well it happened to me and i was using ibrickr and i didnt know it was supposed to be in recovery mode to downgrade to 1.0.2 cuzz i was a nub but it tried to add the files when u have 1.0.2 and it said after 10 mins if it doesnt work unplug and try again so i did a few times and one time i unplugged and when i went to start my iphone back up the apple logo came on and words went racing across the screen over and over again:rolleyes: and i couldnt get it to reboot using ibrickr and i couldnt restore so i thought i was screwed but i had to let the scrolling go on for about an hour and tried it again and it worked so happy days lol

scary number 2 : lol on the first 1.1.2 jailbreak i tried it and something went totally wrong..i got the same error people got that fried there baseband...after about 2days of fractic reading...restoring...and more mindless hacking i fixxed it!...i have successfully brought back my Phone from the totall ibrick...which to me means there is no total brick for the iphone!

I have a 1st Generation iPhone that I want to set up for my wife using a provider other than ATT. How do i go about doing that? Use a "hacking" program (which one's work?) and follow the instructions?

Before I answer that, how bout abiding the forum rules and posting in the right sections just to show respect if nothing else?

And what do you mean "Setting up WIFI with a 'provider'"? WiFi is for wireless networks nearby, which is something not always provided by carriers.

Please do clarify and post in the right section.
