Comments (6)It’s here — iPhone DevTeam’s Pwnage…

Mac OS X features:
The “DevTeam” would like to announce the release of the OS X version of the PwnageTool application.
The team (and especially Wizdaz) have been working hard to bring you this release in as short a time as possible.
The plan (4 weeks ago) was to release a Mac tool only. This was decided because of the lack of reliable Mac filesystem tools on Windows, and the fact that the task of porting them would be too time consuming.
With that in mind the genius that is “cmw” stepped up to the plate and offered his services to the DevTeam. He proposed to provide a tool that would give the same functionality and User Interface as the Mac tool.
cmw has done an almost unthinkable task and ported the almost complete Pwnage Tool to Windows in a little under a week, and we would like to thank him for this unbelievable work. He is currently in the final test stages and hopefully this should be finished within the next 24 hours (but even he needs sleep and family time occasionally!) We’ll post a link as soon as the testing has finished.
cmw’s site is at http://www.iphonelinux.org
The Mac tool is available at http://www.iphone-dev.org

Comments (13)Zibri has released ZiPhone version 3.0; the tool that does it all and now even more… Utilizing ZiPhone’s new plugin system (see PLUGIN_HOWTO.TXT) you may trigger user specific actions or events after the jailbreak operation, or when executing “ziphone –P”.

Thanks, son of Erik the Red.
Comments (10)Succeeding iPlus is the new iLiberty+ for both Windows and Mac. Do the same as always — effortlessly activate, jailbreak, and unlock your iPhone/iPod Touch.
iLiberty+ also solves the non-working EDGE/WiFi/BlueTooth problem; commonly encountered after using ZiPhone.
Extra tools (or Payloads) are included to facilitate further hacking needs.

Get down with the get down.

Comments (12)Zibri’s rockin’ a new version of ZiPhone…
Current ZiPhone users:
iPhone owners — you have no *real* reason to upgrade. Boys & girls sporting the iPod Touch — you want this version; it clears/fixes the NVRAM issue. Download, click on CLEAR/FIX NVRAM, then after reboot, jailbreak that bad boy (or girl).
New ZiPhone users:
If you’re looking for a simple software solution to activate, jailbreak, and unlock your iPhone/iPod Touch — download ZiPhone right now. It doesn’t get much easier than this.

Comments (12)Introducing a new software package for downgrading the boot loader, bypassing activation, performing a successful jailbreak, and finally SIM unlocking your iPhone on system software 1.1.4 — that is Aviegas’ iPlus 2.0b. Fully automatic and all that; Windows and Mac (Intel/PPC).
Leif has shared two tutorials — both for Windows and Mac OS X — those courtesy of hackthatphone.com. Enjoy!

Comments (5)Phew, it’s safe to update now. Zibri has released ZiPhone version 2.5.
Actually, perform a restore to 1.1.4 — don’t update. Nullriver’s Installer keeps a cache of installed apps; you will encounter problems upgrading straight to iPhone system version 1.1.4. So play it safe, do the restore — connect USB, hold the home button and sleep/power for a few seconds, click “Restore” in iTunes.
Get down. Kudos Zibri, and everyone else who made this possible.

Comments (10)Update: Hitting more frequent than quick pick lotto… ZiPhone v2.3 is out! Details in the README.
Update: 2.2 bug fix release… Grab it below.
Update: Another day, another ZiPhone release — version 2.1 comin’ in hot… Changes include:
Update: I should mention ZiPhone v2.0 repaired the iPhone mentioned in this post; the one unable to receive calls. Solid app, cheers.
Update: ZiPhone 2.0 is out now. Quoting Zibri, “…the command line version, you will find a new option ‘-b’ be very careful with that! I take no responsibility if you brick your phone! ZiPhone -b will downgrade bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9, flash 4.03.13_G baseband version and unlock it (in one shot!).”
Experiencing difficulties with previous activation, jailbreak, and unlock methods? No longer! Forget all that tedious nonsense and enter Zibri’s ZiPhone. For real, it doesn’t get any easier than this…
Bypass activation and jailbreak any iPhone OS version. Unlock whatever baseband on boot loader 3.9 and 4.6 — that means 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OOTB (out-of-the-box) also work! Just connect your phone via USB and run the app. It’s mentioned ZiPhone will revive many “dead” basebands too; so if you messed up a previous attempt, this will likely solve that issue.
Both Windows and Mac versions available.
Kudos to everyone involved making this possible.

Comments (83)The iPhone has been unlocked several different ways now, and after much teasing from fellow admin Greg I made the drive to Walden Galleria in Buffalo to pickup my very own Apple iPhone. Obviously the first thing I tried when I got it home was using DVD Jon’s iPhone activation server. Much to my dismay I had updated my iTunes and was running v7.3.2.6 the offsets used in the hack require v7.3.0.54. So after doing much hunting around I managed to get a copy of v.7.3.0.54, downgrade iTunes and finally implement the hack using The iPhone Unlocking Toolkit from pqdvd.net.
After activating the iPhone I created an iPhone activation tutorial for windows users documenting my hurdles.
Required software for this guide:
iPhone Unlocking Toolkit
iTunes v7.3.0.54
