Leif just sent another interesting news tidbit…
Dubbed BD Touch, the technology aims to leverages the network capabilities of Blu-ray players, meaning that iPhones and iPod touches could soon add to their repertoire the ability to dual as a multimedia remote for supporting Blu-ray players like the PS3.
…
In addition, BD Touch could also serve to funnel movie extras from the PS3 to the iPhone, build an iPhone-based database of a user’s movie collection, and beam iTunes Digital Copy versions of movies from Blu-ray discs to the Apple handhelds.
…
A formal announcement is expected on Thursday.
Cool!

Comments (5)iPhone developers should know, and probably already know, that Apple has released their second beta version of the SDK.
The second beta version of the iPhone SDK is now available and includes Interface Builder, a powerful tool that allows you to visually build your interface and makes creating a UI as simple as drag and drop.
We’ve also added new sample code and updated documentation to the rich set of resources available to you in the iPhone Dev Center.
Log in to the iPhone Dev Center today and download the new version of the iPhone SDK.
Thanks Manuel.
Comments (0)Apple has officially launched their iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK). Browse over to developer.apple.com/iphone/program to sign up —
Standard Program $99
The Standard Program is for developers who are creating free and commercial applications for iPhone and iPod touch.
Enterprise Program $299
The Enterprise Program is for developers who are creating proprietary, in-house applications for iPhone and iPod touch.
You’ll require an Intel-based Mac with Leopard and Xcode installed. Do note the SDK itself does not cost any money; however, getting your application approved for distribution under whatever program will set ya back.
Accessing the developer site seems a little iffy per the moment. Try again later should problems persist.
Thanks for the tip, Manuel.
Comments (12)Hey! Apparently the Apple iPhone SDK key has been leaked…
Read Erica Sadun’s report at TUAW, “…all iPhone applications must be properly signed for iTunes to process them and for the iPhone to load them, this key suggests that hackers are closer to creating compliant IPA application bundles for home-brew iTunes distribution.”

Comments (13)Apple has officially released software version 1.0.1 for the iPhone…
After successfully decrypting the update using vfdecrypt…
Edit vfdecrypt.c putting in the key you found where it says INSERT KEY HERE. Use the same amount of characters as the hyphens in there, replacing them with parts of the key.
Now compile vfdecrypt. You can use Cygwin - use the command gcc vfdecrypt.c -lcrypto -o vfdecrypt.exe
Run vfdecrypt, passing it the name of the encrypted DMG (”694-5281-6.dmg”) and the name of an output file (say, “694-5281-6-decrypted.dmg”).
Now if you’re on Windows you need Transmac to open the DMG. If you’re on Mac you can just open it.
…Its been reported that manually copying the new/changed files to a jailbroken iPhone will result in hacked components continuing to work — SSH, jailbreak, 3rd-party compiled binaries, custom ringtones, etc… I’m sure this process will be streamlined in the future. Upgrading your iPhone via iTunes probably isn’t the best idea; that is, if you’re looking to hack it. :)
