Last month Microsoft announced that they’d be bringing POP3 access to Hotmail in select countries, great news for iPhone owners. Unfortunately for many users, it wasn’t available in the United States.

In the time since the announcement, Microsoft appears to have made good on their word that POP3 support would be rolled out in other countries as time went on. Well, POP3 support is active and working on the iPhone! (yay!)

In order to get Hotmail POP3 up and running on your iPhone, you’ll have to manually set everything up. To do this, use pop3.live.com (port 995) for incoming mail and smtp.live.com (port 25) for outgoing. Your account will be your full Hotmail/Live address

Well, for those who are still stuck on hotmail for whatever reason and can’t make the switch to a much better email provider such as GMail (Google Mail) enjoy.
