Countless iPhone apps are released every day; some are useless, some suck, and some kick a supreme amount of ass. Onboard the ass kicking boat is HWPen — the first iPhone handwriting application.

HWPen hooks into the on-screen keyboard, and, well, you guessed it — recognizes your handwriting. It’s currently in the beta stages of development, but no doubt demonstrates true dopeness.

To install:

1. fire up Installer
2. add source: http://iphonecake.com/r.xml
3. browse over to the [iPhone Cake] category
4. install HWPen 1.0 beta
