Ambrosia Software has released an update for iToner, an application for Mac OS X that allows you to create free quick ringtones for the iPhone without the need for hacks! This update adds ability to easily crop selections, incorporates Cleartone technology for optimizing sound quality for the iPhone speaker, and includes 40 bundled ringtones.

iToner 2 enables you to quickly create custom ringtones and transfer them to your iPhone with a single click – without modifying, hacking or having to reset your iPhone. Drag and drop your MP3, AAC, WAVE, or AIFF audio files on iToner’s window, move the sliders to select the section of the song you want to use, click the Sync button, and you’re done. No hacks. No per-ringtone fees.
